2. What this website collects

This is a static website. It sets no cookies and uses no third-party tracking services. For visitor statistics we use a self-hosted, cookieless Matomo instance (see section 3).

When you visit, our hosting provider (cyon GmbH, Basel, Switzerland) automatically processes technical access data in server logs: IP address, date and time of the request, requested URL, browser type and referrer. This is technically necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest). Log data is deleted according to the hosting provider's retention schedule and is not merged with other data or used to identify individual visitors.

3. Visitor statistics (Matomo)

We use Matomo, an open-source analytics tool, self-hosted on our own server — no data is transmitted to any third party. Matomo runs in cookieless mode: it sets no cookies and creates no cross-site profiles. Your IP address is anonymized before storage (the last bytes are masked), so stored statistics cannot be traced back to you. We use the resulting aggregate data (page views, referrer, country, browser type) solely to understand how the site is used.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in privacy-preserving, aggregate usage statistics. Matomo honors your browser's "Do Not Track" setting: if it is enabled, your visit is not counted at all. You may also object to this processing at any time (see section 7).

4. Purchases

Purchases of Filament Outbox Pro are handled by Polar Software, Inc. as merchant of record. When you buy, Polar collects and processes the data needed to complete the transaction (name, email address, billing information, payment details, country for VAT purposes) under its own responsibility. See the Polar privacy policy.

We receive from Polar the order information required to deliver the product and provide support: your name, email address and license details (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract). We retain this order data for as long as needed to provide license services and to meet statutory bookkeeping retention periods.

5. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (email address, message content) to handle your request (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Emails are deleted when no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.

6. The software itself

Filament Outbox runs entirely within your own application and infrastructure. It does not "phone home", does not transmit telemetry, and sends notification data only to the endpoints you configure (e.g. your Discord or Slack webhooks).

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR (and, where applicable, the Swiss FADP) you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, email info@filamentoutbox.com.
